Forums Focus: A weekly blog to enlighten, encourage and equip Christian business leaders to lead in business using Biblical Business Principles.

Biblical Business Principles – Last week we focused on Biblical Standards for Business (Humility). Humble people do not put others down nor puff themselves up. Do you consider yourself to be humble? Do others?

This week we will focus on Biblical Standards for Business (Steadfastness). Most business people are steadfast, sometimes to a fault. One picture of steadfastness is a dog on a bone. Don’t try to take it away! Are you steadfast?

A definition of steadfast is: Resolutely or dutifully firm and unwavering. Synonyms include steady, firm, stable, constant, staunch, and immovable.

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV Steadfastness is an attribute of our God. Christ was steadfast. Are you Christlike in your steadfastness?

What are you steadfast about? Are you steadfast in providing a product or service that glorifies God, provides your customers with value, and makes your employees blest to be part of the company?

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58 ESV Is your work connected to God’s work?

Bit of Wisdom
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12 ESV
