Forums Focus: A weekly blog to enlighten, encourage and equip Christian business leaders to lead in business using Biblical Business Principles.

Biblical Business Principles – Last week we focused on Relying on God’s Resources (His Strength). How much do you rely on God’s strength during your business day? How much of the day are you running on your own strength?

This week we will focus on Relying on God’s Resources (His Faithfulness). How much do you rely on God’s faithfulness in your business?

First, God is completely faithful. God is not a man, that he should lie. He is not a human, that he should change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through? Numbers 23:19 NLT We can rely on His promises. What promises from the Bible are you relying on for your business?

Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. Psalms 55:22 NLT What a promise to rely on from a faithful God! Since you received Jesus Christ into your life, has God ever failed to take care of you letting you slip and fall?

Thanks to God’s faithfulness we get to start fresh each day. The unfailing love of the LORD never ends! By his mercies we have been kept from complete destruction. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each day. Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT When the bottom seems to be falling out, how do you remember and count on God’s faithfulness? David prayed – I entrust my spirit into your hand. Rescue me, LORD, for you are a faithful God. Psalms 31:5 NLT

As we celebrate Independence Day, let’s also celebrate our dependence on our completely faithful God, and then respond by being faithful to Him in our business lives.

Bit of Wisdom
Have you never heard or understood? Don’t you know that the LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth? He never grows faint or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to those who are tired and worn out; he offers strength to the weak. Even youths will become exhausted, and young men will give up. But those who wait on the LORD will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:28-31 NLT
