CBMC Forums Focus: A weekly blog to enlighten, encourage and equip Christian business leaders to lead in business using Biblical Business Principles.
Biblical Business Principles – Last week we focused on Peter’s Principles Part 2. When opposition in your business comes are you watchful, cognizant of the real source, and up armored?
This week we will focus on Meaningful Christmas. Christmas affects businesses in different ways. For some Christmas creates demand, and retailers sell more. For others Christmas is a very slow period. How does Christmas affect your business?
For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. And the government will rest on his shoulders. These will be his royal titles: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 NLT
A child is born, a son is given – God sent His son to Earth as a baby, born in the most humble circumstances. What difference does the message of Christmas make in your business?
The government rests upon His shoulders – Personal government, family government, church government, civil government, and even company government rest on His shoulders. Is your company’s government resting on His shoulders?
From long before the humble beginning of His earthly human existence it was foretold that Jesus’ titles would include Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Do you regularly get business counsel from this Wonderful Counselor since He is the Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace?
His ever expanding, peaceful government will never end. He will rule forever with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David. The passionate commitment of the LORD Almighty will guarantee this! Isaiah 9:7 NLT Do you make this truth the cornerstone of your long term plans?
Do you sense a gap between these biblical truths and your practical experiences? If you do, what can you do to narrow the gap?
May your Christmas be Meaningful and Merry!
Bit of Wisdom
Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before God made anything at all and is supreme over all creation. Christ is the one through whom God created everything in heaven and earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see — kings, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities. Everything has been created through him and for him. He existed before everything else began, and he holds all creation together. Colossians 1:15-17 NLT
