CBMC Forums Focus: A weekly blog to enlighten, encourage and equip Christian business leaders to lead in business using Biblical Business Principles.
Biblical Business Principle
Last week we focused on Closing a Sale – MASTER MORE THAN ONE SALES APPROACH.
As you present your products / services, ideas, and the Gospel, do you tailor your presentation to the needs of the people you’re presenting to?
This week we will again focus on Closing a Sale stimulated by Section 4 of the book Jesus in the 9 – 5, by Dennis E. Hensley, PhD.
How much do you stress quality in your presentations? People will pay more for higher quality. You can mail a letter from Baltimore to San Diego for less than $1 and it will get there in 5 days. You can FedEx your message or Priority mail it for under $20 and it gets there in 2 days. You can send a text message that gets there in seconds, but costs you much more when you consider all the costs for the equipment and service. People will pay more for higher quality. Do you consider quality as you prepare your presentations?
Christians in business represent a God who is quality and wants us to represent Him with quality. Quality requires refining our products / services like refining gold. In Revelations 3:18-20 in response to our lukewarmness the Lord says, “I advise you to buy gold from me — gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. And also buy white garments so you will not be shamed by your nakedness. And buy ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. I am the one who corrects and disciplines everyone I love. Be diligent and turn from your indifference. “Look! Here I stand at the door and knock. If you hear me calling and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal as friends.” How does quality relate to lukewarmness?
God’s Word is quality, represents a standard of quality, and leads to success. Study this Book of the Law continually. Meditate on it day and night so you may be sure to obey all that is written in it. Only then will you succeed. Joshua 1:8 NLT As you present your products / services, ideas, and the Gospel, how can you stress quality?
