CBMC Forums Focus: A weekly blog to enlighten, encourage and equip Christian business leaders to lead in business using Biblical Business Principles.

Biblical Business Principle
Last time we focused on Personal Peace. How is your personal peace? Did the rush of the holidays increase or decrease your peace?

This week we will focus on Call. Do you sense the call of God for the position you hold in business? Pastors are called to the ministry (vocation), and to their churches (position). Are business people just as called to their vocations and positions?

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. Psalm 139:16 NLT Does God have a plan for your life?

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10 NLT Since God has a plan, we need to be sure we’re in line with the plan He has called us to. .

The call of God can only be perceived and understood internally by our new nature. God’s Holy Spirit will work through our mind, emotions and will to clarify His call. And it will align with Scripture. Most of all, we will have a settled peace that goes beyond all comprehension.

As you begin the new year, do you have a settled peace that you’re responding to the call of God, especially where you spend most of your awake hours – in business?

Bit of Wisdom
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is. Romans 12:2 NLT
