CBMC Forums Focus: A weekly blog to enlighten, encourage and equip Christian business leaders to lead in business using Biblical Business Principles.
Biblical Business Principle
Last week we focused on Freedom. Do you handle negative feedback in a Christlike manner?
This week we will focus on Inspection. Why do people do what we inspect more than what we expect?
Exodus 39 begins with a detailed description of the Tabernacle project. So the people of Israel followed all of the LORD’s instructions to Moses. Exodus 39:42 NLT This sounds like the project was successfully completed.
The next verse says Moses inspected all their work and blessed them because it had been done as the LORD had commanded him. Exodus 39:42 NLT Moses inspected, and since it was done as the Lord had commanded, he blessed them. Do you inspect the work you assign (or do you assume)? When you inspect there are two conclusions, done as assigned or not done as assigned. Do you complement when the work is done as assigned? Or do you only communicate when it isn’t done as assigned? Is inspection a part of the process of delivering your products / services?
Bit of Wisdom
So don’t get tired of doing what is good. Don’t get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time. Galatians 6:9 NLT
